I offer counseling services for families and individuals, helping you to gain the skills you need to live the life you want. Areas of interest and experience include working with families and siblings of individuals with autism, working with the LGBT population, working with adolescents, helping women with their own unique issues, helping parents to be more effective, as well as helping individuals with alternative lifestyles. Please see "Services" above to find out more information regarding different areas of work I do.
I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College in 2007. After completing my degree, I worked for two years at Morrison Child and Family Services, gaining group and individual experience working with families, parents, individuals and children aged 2-years to 18-years-old. I have worked in-home with families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well.
I will work with you to decide what course of therapy would work best. Approaches I use with clients include solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness throughout the therapy process.
